Qrs Assist Turns Into a Rescue
Monday, August 8th, 2022
2243hrs; Station alerted to a Qrs assist for an unknown problem at the Hite House. Crew arrived and found a male with his arm stuck in the leg portion of his lift chair. Crew was able to force up the leg rest and free his arm. Patient refused transport. Crew then cleared.

1126hrs: Thanksgiving morning the station was dispatched to assist Acosta with a ktichen fire located at 8875 Somerset Pike. Engine604 responded but was canclled just prior to arriving on scene.

1839hrs: The station was dispatched to assist Hooversville with a single vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of Wilbur Rd and Peterman Rd in Shade Township. RescueEngine604, Fire Police and Chief responded.

2002hrs: Crews reponded to a tree down blocking the entire road along Horner Church Rd. Engine crew cut and removed the tree.

0155hrs: Tanker responded and assisted Jennerstown with a garage and woods fire along Laurel Summit Rd.

1755HRS: Engine and Fire Police responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries on Rt30 near S Pine Ave.

1517hrs: Attack and Tanker responded to a small grass/brush fire at 810 Skunk Hollow Rd.

0836hrs: Station was dispatched to a house fire located at 103 S Club Rd at the corner of Brownstown Hill. Engine responded and dispatch advised of possible entrapment. Engine arrived on scene and found a one-story residential structure with heavy smoke coming from the house.

1939hrs: Smoke inside the apartment building as a result from burnt food. 121 W Main St the Hite House. Chief received a call from a neighbor advising the fire alarm was activated. Chief responded and found burnt food with some smoke inside the hallway.

1553hrs: Assisted Shanksville with a smoke in a structure located at 338 Imgrund Mountain Rd. Engine and Rescue responded.

1105hrs: Two vehicle accident on US Rt30 (Lincoln Hwy) just west of S Pine Ave. No injuries on scene.

2048hrs: Two vehicle accident with injuries on US Rt30 (Lincoln Hwy) at Slagle Hill Rd. Two persons were taken to UPMC Somerset Hospital. Rescue Engine, Tanker, Attack and Fire Police responded.

1248hrs: Dispatched to assist Shanksville with a structure fire 1860 Causeway Dr Indian Lake. Engine 604 responded but was cancelled prior to arriving on scene.

1312hrs: Single vehicle accident with injuries and confinement on Bicycle Rd near Geiger Rd in Quemahoning Twp. One person was taken to UPMC Somerset. State Police investigated. Assisting on scene was Friedens Fire, Somerset Ambulance and Milt's Towing.

1515hrs: Crews responded to this "Hay Fire" along Stoystown Rd (Rt281) south of Stoystown and just prior to Pompey Hill Rd. A trailer loaded with hay caught fire (hay only) and was quickly extinguished.
