Retired Squad 604 in February 2020
In April 2012, Tanker 604-3 failed to pass state inspection and was taken out of service. Many issues have been creeping up on the truck over the past few years and would have been too costly to repair, let alone not safe. The tanker was sold to a local farmer. It served our community well over the years. In 2011, the fire company applied for a Assistance to Firefighters Grant through FEMA. In February 2012, we were awarded a grant to replace our tanker. After meeting with a few tanker manufacturer's, the fire company choose Pierce Mfg to build our new tanker. The new tanker is scheduled to be completed in early January. The fire company members have been working hard to replace this truck, but it might not have been possible without the grant. This grant will not cover 100% of the cost, so fundraisers are being planned and we hope you will continue your support. Check back on our website for updates.
